Concord was first called Musketaquid meaning “grassy plain,” and today is well known from the “Concord Grape.” The town has a strong history beginning with the Battle of Lexington and Concord and then had transformed into a literary center with writers including Henry David Thoreau and Louisa May Alcott having resided there.
Today, Concord’s center is a primary destination for its residents. Complete with services, restaurants, shopping and The Colonial Inn which is rumored to be haunted.
